because I stayed out a couple of hours longer than I said I would and was a lil drunk? (this rarely happens)

If you worried her by letting her wonder where you were, or if you drove home drunk, yes.

you have to look at this from another view of the situation, what if you were at home like her maybe planning o spend time with her and she told you that she would be home at (lets say) 10:00 so your getting all excited fixing your house up, taking that extra special shower, and making yourself look good just waiting for her to get home, and 10:00 comes and goes then 10:30 then 11:00 than 12:00and your still waiting for her. how would you feel? It's really easy to go wrong in a relationship if you dont think about the other person, and know that every decision you make is going to effect the both of you

well if its not a regular occurrence then it was probably a bit harsh, but on the other hand did you call her to let her know you would be later than you said. She may have initially been worried then when you rolled up drunk her worry turned to anger as she had been sat there worrying that something had happened to you.
Its as always two sided isn't it. Learn from it lol. Next time call her.

Well, it depends on: if you were fighting before you went out; was there a specific reason you HAD to be home at a certain time?; were you with an ex-girlfriend?

Unless there was some specific reason staying out would upset her, you knew about, I would say she's being a tad unreasonable. When you're out socializing, I believe in a little freedom. When you're out with friends and have had a few drinks its easy to lose track of time. Not a big deal.

Talk to her and see why she's really upset.

You should understand by this that she cares for you and must be worried about you.
You were late and drunk too thus committing two mistakes and want her not to shout at you,may I ask you why not?
Any body who loves you and cares for will shout.Even your mother will who perhaps loved you the most

Well, i guess if itisnt a regular thing, she shouldnt be too mad, but still should be.
as others have said you needed to call her and tell her when youd be back, and why and who youre with and al that, so she doesnt worry too much..
she has a right to be mad, but it shouldnt last, if it happens again and again, then you should feel lucky she;s still there.

r u married to her ...i am assuming it so...or even in a friendship.....why is it assumed u get to become a bonded slave...in this modern world when communications are at a touch of a button...just call and if u cant..... so be it ...the marriage should be based on trust and luv...and is supposed to be the deepest friendship that is meant to grow and not dessimate

I think that her feelings are justified, but shouldn't linger. If my guy did this, I would say- hey, it pissed me off; call next time so that I don't worry. I wouldn't stay mad.
