had lower back pain on & off with some pins & needles in buttocks & left leg.
Y/day I got out of the car & could barely move, i have pain under my bump & my bum is numb - spoke to the surgery & they will apply for s phsio appt but there is a waiting list - advised me to take co-codamol & paracetamol with a hot water bottle & plenty of rest (i have 2 children of school age)
Today I am in just as much pain, should I call them again or just suffer it out until i get this physio appt, dr thinks i may of slipped/pulled a disc in my back?

Have a look into SPD (symphysis pubis dysfunction). Its a pregnancy related problem, it may be that. Their website also has hints and tips for helping the pain and easing movement and posture. Pregnancy hormones work on jonts and ligaments in your body, which loosens them up and causes all sorts of pain and problems!
It may be that baby is lying on a nerve and trapping it, or as you say, a disc problem. Push for the physio appointment, unfortunately, sometimes you have to keep on at the GP to get things done!
Be careful with medication: co-codamol already contains paracetamol, so you shouldn't be taking anymore on top of the co-codamol.
Also, beware of lying flat on your back for any prolonged length of time as the weight of the baby on your abdominal blood vessels can cause problems. If possible, lie on the left side.
Hope this helps x

I don't understand why you have an appointment to see...who? A physical therapist? They won't be able to do much but give you stretching exercises. Since you are 6 mos pregnant, you can't take most pain medications.
Your problem is probably coming from the extra weight, which is normal. Ask your doctor which pain meds you can take.
Physical therapy will be able to do limited stretching exercises and maybe some massage. But it provides only temporary relief.
