If your headaches are related to migraine, the doctors at the private hospital below should investigate further for you.

If you drink a lot of caffeine you need to stop drinking it on a regular basis. The reason for your pain, is your blood vessels are opening and slamming shut, like a muscle contraction. You are low on calcium and magnisium. If you are having a headache, take twice the amount on the bottle, then repeat in one hour until the pain is gone. You need to take this everyday as prescibed on the bottle to build up your calcium. This is a natural muscle relaxer, will also work on menstral cramps, ( my daughter has them so bad she double overs with the pain) I do this for her and within a couple hours she is feeling good.
Now if you are away from home when this hits, go get a bottle of soda, with the most caffeine there is, drink it. This will only work , if you don't use a lot of caffeine.
Remember the brain is a muscle, so that is why they tell you on certain prescription muscle relaxers not to drive, but it is okay with this.

You need to see a Neurologist, who can determine the cause of your headaches.
If you are taking OTC meds like ibupfofen or aspirin, you are probably experiencing rebound headaches. And it's a vicious cycle as they cause more headaches the more you take.
A Neurologist can get you off this cycle.
Sounds like you're experiencing migraines, which last for days.
I'm going thru this myself right now. See a Neurologist, again. They are expert in treating headaches of any kind.

Ask to see a gynecologist (if a woman) or an endocrinologist (a doctor that diagnoses and treats diseases and disorders related to hormones) to have them test your hormone levels such as for estrogen and progesterone. Sometimes hormone problems can have symptoms such as headaches come with it.

In the mean time ask your doctor to refer you to a Pain Management doctor. Some of them can be helpful at treating the pain of headaches and may also be able to help you find the answer to your headaches.

Also, keep track of what you eat and drink to see if that might help give any clues as to what is causing these headaches.

Depending on our bodies, many things can cause headaches, I used to get terrible ones and found out they are caused when I have a bad stomach, a good doctor should be able to diagnose the reason.
Good luck.

Alternate systems of medicine can only help you. Doctors avoid to tell this truth to patients as a part of their business.

There is no medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for RA, OA, Back ache and almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.

Acidity, WORRY, sadness, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation; drug side effects, stress, bad smell, TV & COMPUTER SOMETIMES,
Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy, BODY CONSTITUTION etc are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.

Acupuncture is the best treatment.
I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.

Pain killers don't treat the pain but we loose the sense of pain for some time; in that duration our body itself treats sometime and credit goes to meds.
The useless drugs have tremendous power of side effects like liver/kidney failures, ulcer, inflammation of intestines and lot more.

Avoid late sleeping if possible; worry, spicy foods, sour fruits, stale bakery foods, SMOKING and alcohole.
Sweet foods, COCOANUT WATER,sweet fruits, milk, rice, SPROUTS, SALADS and good sleep will help if cough is not there.

But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it is very strong.

If it is acute pl search a painful point 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds.

For forehead pain the points are in front of nails on the finger tips or 3-7 mm below.

It may disappear naturally too.
