The semantic's game should be fun.
Catholic's worship God, who created jesus
Christian's worship jesus who was created by God.
Yet you say there is a difference?

Technically, nothing. "Catholic" is derided from a Latin word meaning "universal" and describes a universal united body of Christians who tend to hold to a certain set of beliefs.

It's worse than you think: for Catholics God = Jesus = Holy Spirit. God did not create Jesus, God IS Jesus. And Jesus is the Son of God, which makes him his own father. Nice, eh?

Christian just means the person recognises Jesus as Messiah, which the Jews deny, while Muslims will concede him only prophet status. Catholic is a further refinement, in that they are organised under a Church led by the Pope in Rome (there's another "pope" for the Orthodox Christians, who have a tradition just as old as the Catholics. Dunno much about them, being Catholic myself....). All Catholics are Christian, but not all Christians are Catholic.

Christians worship Christ. Catholics are the original founders of Christianity. Many people believe that the term 'Christian' refers to Protestants only, but these are the same people who believe that "Catholic" refers to only Roman Catholicism.

Nasty little posts aside, you're talking about The chicken... and also the chicken. They're both blanket terms describing a large number of denominations.

Hope that doesn't make things more confusing.

The Catholics believe that Mary is the main part in the picture.

The difference is very clear and you actually said it your question.

"What is the BLOODY difference" The difference is the BLOOD.

It is not the fact that Jesus was born through miraculous conception by a virgin called Mary, but the fact that Jesus took our place on the cross and became our final sacrifice.

So, the blood is the difference between a non born again Christian and a born again Christian.

There is power in the BLOOD.

Christians are Catholics that have broken away from the Catholic Church, and go and create their own version of the Catholic Church on their own. All of these various demoninations were at one time part of the Catholic Church which invented the bible, a book about the SUN, and basic astrology/astronomy back in the days of Constantine in order to unite the Roman empire at the time under one SUN GOD.

You have obviously not studied your history very well or you would not ask this question - Henry VIII took England out of the Catholic church - so there's your start. There are now dozens of sects of the Christian church all with their own interpretation of Christianity. In the same way there are different sects in the Muslim religion. - Sunnis and Shias are at each others throats in Iraq as we speak. But I suspect you know all this and just want to stir things up!!

Besides falling short of dogmas and doctrine ;

Catholicism's brand of Christianity is a quality product and the non-catholic brand of Christianity is made in China !

I could list many differences, but you get the general idea ???

I've not heard of that before.

The only real difference I can see between the two is that Catholics focus praise on Mary, not to replace God but focus their praise on her. Catholics also base their religion on The Church. Centuries of traditions handed down by the church. Catholics seek forgiveness from God through a priest.

Christians focus their praise on Jesus, not to replace God, but focus their praise on Him. Christians also base their religion on the Bible. Centuries of writings handed down by the prophets. Christians seek forgiveness from God through Christ.

In my experience, those have been the only two real differences I've seen.

The difference is that christians take the bible as it is with no mediators. True christianity is as Jesus preached it, accepting Him as Lord and Saviour- period, Jesus said that we can come to the Father through Him (Jesus) and no one else, check your bible, unless you want to say that the scriptures are wrong.
