I usually grow it out, which I am again right now? Do you like it long or short on me? I like it either way, but how do you like it? It is short right now.

It appears that the question is directed towards ladies.
But I take the liberty of answering this question as a gentleman
Long or short hairs, they are there to make your personality more attractive and of course towards opposite sex.
Girls with long straight hairs appear to be more feminine than the girls with short or boy-cut type.
Any fault in face is beautifully covered up by long, shiny hair.
At very first sight, a long-haired maid attracts, it is later that other unattractive area are discovered.
So by taking advantage of the fact "attraction at first sight" a long haired maid had better chance
Have you ever judged the difference between long haired Elizabeth Taylor (Cleopatra) then the short haired Elizabeth?

I think both ways look pretty good, since your short hair isn't really THAT short. [I don't think you should go much shorter than that, but i just happen to prefer longer hair.]

it just depends where your comfortable and whether you like rock or the classics.

keep it in the "long" picture you showed
then if you want to look like it is short...
just use something to hold it back (hair jel) and it will look like the picture you showed for "short"
