Well can you start over as if you had done nothing???
Can you restart your computer to reset changes???
Can you use a feature called System Restore, to change your settings???
I have System Restore on my Windows XP system under all programs, accessories, system tools...
You change your info by selecting a date in the recent past when your computer worked just fine and it will cancel out your more recent choices..
You can start all over again with those folders...
