It is evident, that a lot of Christians believe that Jesus is God. A lot do not even acknowledge the Father as important. In the Bible, Jesus says that the Father is greater than Him. If one were to look at the Bible, Jesus seems to be of a lower position of His father.

How can you believe Jesus is God when there is an abundance of text in the Bible that states otherwise? For those that believe Jesus is God, Jesus is less than the Father in the Bible, therefore where do you base your beliefs that He is an equal?

Joh 10:30 I and My Father are one.

Joh 14:28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

As the eternal Son of God, Jesus and the Father are equal.

Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 10:30 I and my Father are one.

In the Old Testament, there are many portions of the Scriptures that said that Jesus is indeed Jehovah. Email me if you are interested!!

In His Incarnation, to be 100%God and 100%Man, God-man; when Jesus took the likeness of sinful flesh, .....
He submits to the Father's will, and now having finished the Redemptive work, He is again equal with the Father and sat on His right side.

I do hope that you really asked to seek for repentance rather than a bunch of ....................see if God be mock at all, even just once at the wicked irreverence.

It depends which Bible you believe in.They are all different. The Trinity is a mystery. God the Father,God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are the one true God,equal in majesty ,undivided in splendour.Jesus said "I and the Father are one." You just have to accept it. You cannot understand it with human logic.. It is beyond our reasoning.

EDIT......Jesus is not Jehovah.

The New World Translation.the Jehovah's Witnesses Bible should be avoided because it is actually corrupt, being a sectarian paraphrase rather than a true translation of the Holy Scriptures.

It might seem that way, as in the Bible it says Jesus sits on the "right hand of the Father." But in the Holy Trinity, it is one God. They aren't on different levels. The Father (Creator), the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit all make up the one God we love and worship. Jesus had the very same value as God the Father, and the Father put Him on the earth to show God's love in human form (since the Father is not of flesh). Does this make sense?

Yes.

All three persons of the one true God of Abraham are equally great.

The doctrine of the Holy Trinity in which the one true God is made up of three separate but equal persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

This belief is shared by most Christian denominations including Roman and Orthodox Catholics, Lutherans, Anglicans, Baptists, Methodists, Presbyterians, Pentecostals and Episcopalians.

All of these groups would state that they are monotheists.

Some non-trinitarian religions like Islam occasionally accuse Trinitarians of polytheism.

With love in Christ.

Jesus is as great as the father means that they are of the same class which is God, but when referring to their relationship as father and son, the father is greater than the son.

Jesus is the image of the invisible God. so it means that God is invisible but Jesus is the image (the one that can be seen) of the one that cannot be seen.

Col 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature.

Jesus said in
John 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
John 5:37 ...Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.

yet in Exo 24:9 it says that these people saw God.
Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel:
Exo 24:10 And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness.
Exo 24:11 And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: also they saw God, and did eat and drink.

the God being referred here that men saw is the God who can be seen, the God who is the image of the invisible God and that is Jesus.

the Father, no man has seen at anytime - his shape nor heard his voice.

Jesus seems to be of a lower position of His father.

Jesus was in a lower position than his Father when He voluntarily came to earth and lived as a man.

Philippians 2:5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. 9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

In His fair well speech to His disciples Jesus said...

John 14:1 "Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.

then He said...

John 14:28 You heard me say to you, 'I am going away, and I will come to you.' If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.

...which people who don't look at the whole context take to mean that Jesus IS less than his Father as opposed to it being that while He was as a man He had made Himself nothing but upon His return...

John 17:5 And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed.

...He would resume being eqal or "one" with his Father as He spoke about at other times.

John 10:30 I and the Father are one."

John 14:8 Philip said to him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us."

9 Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works.

You have to distinguish between essense and function.

True, the Father is greater than Jesus. In what sense? In function but not in essence. Essentially, they are co-equal; functionally, the Father is greater.

Why? Because the Father is the initiator; Jesus is the "executor".

I might add, the Holy Spirit is the "applicator".

In the Old Testament God said to Moses, “I AM THAT I AM.” This name was used frequently by Jesus to validate His deity. When he frequently used the name “I AM,” He was saying, “I am God.”

A. “I AM the bread which came down from heaven.” John 6:41.
B. “I AM the light of the world.” John 8:12.
C. “I AM the door.” John 10:7.
D. “I AM the good shepherd.” John 10:11.
E. “I AM the resurrection and the life.” John 11:25.
F. “I AM the way, the truth and the life.” John 14:6.
G. “I AM the true vine.” John 15:1.

The deity of Christ means that Christ is God. Scripture clearly teaches this important fact in the following ways.

The attributes of God are used in the Bible speaking of Christ.

His pre-existence. Christ has no beginning. John 1:1-3; 17:5.
His omnipresence. He is with His servants everywhere. Matthew 28:20.
His omnipotence. He has unlimited power. Revelation 1:18.
His omniscience. He has unlimited knowledge. John 21:17.
His unchangeableness. “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever." Hebrews 13:8.

The works of God were performed by Christ.

He created all things. John 1:3.
He upholds the universe. Colossians 1:17.
He raised Himself from the dead. John 2:19.

The titles of God are given to Christ.

God the Father addresses the Son as God. Hebrews 1:8.
Men called Him God, and He did not refuse their worship. John 20:28.
Demons recognized Him as God. Mark 1:24.
He declared Himself to be God. John 10:30.

By the incarnation of Christ is meant His coming into the world as a man.

The coming of Christ was predicted in the Old Testament. Isaiah 7:14.

History records the birth of our Lord. His birth was different from all other births.

He was conceived by the Holy Ghost. Luke 1: 35.
He was born of a virgin. Matthew 1:23.
He was truly man, possessing a body (Hebrews 10:5), soul (Matthew 26:38) and spirit (Luke 23:46).

Christ came in human form in order to:

Reveal the Father. John 14:9.
Put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. Hebrews 9:26.
Destroy the works of the devil. I John 3:8.

Note well: One of the foundational truths of the Christian faith is that
Jesus Christ is truly God and that He came into the world as a man by the miracle of virgin birth. Because of this birth he did not receive the Adamic or sin nature. Romans 5:12. As a man, He was absolutely sinless. His sinless life and His bodily resurrection from the dead confirm these truths.

When Jesus was on earth he had willingly stepped down from his heavenly position. What matters to me is that God as a whole is great, and my salvation comes through Jesus Christ alone. Yes, Jesus is God. He said himself -- "I AM".
