Thanks all for your reply
I'm so sorry for my weak English, because it's not my native language, well.. kindly notice that I'm from Egypt, not from the U.S

there is many reasons that cause the migraines to my mother, sometimes I have to MSG her head to make her feel better a little, she used to take a medicine called "Amigran" and the doctor advised her not to used it for a long time because it harm her liver, since there is no alternative solutions for her migraines, she have to take it everytime, health care in Egypt is not the same in the U.S and we don't have the same technology and same medicines in the U.S

any advices?

I get migraines .when she gets one have her use an icebag on the side with pain.lay down in a dark room if she can..It could be something she is eating that triggers migraines. processed meats, anything with msg in it,caffine or lack of,chocolate.many foods..try research on line for "migraine triggers" and go from there..also maybe chiropractor or pain management if available there..Do you have "excedrine migrane" medicine there?it helps if i take 2 and drink a coke..for me prescription meds do not help but the above does..hope it helps your mom..I know how bad they hurt

Do you have a Neurologist she can see?
Most general or family doctors are not that experienced in treating migraines. Neurologists can determine the cause and can give her several options to try.
Good luck-I know migraines really well !

Has she ever been advised to go to a Pain Management Center? If not look in your phone book and see if there is one in your area or on near by. If so have her Dr. refer her there.

My other advise would be to see a chiropractor. This can be a huge help fo that kind of pain sometimes.
