Yes, Schengen visas are fine, all you need in Switzerland is money, or, a tent and some good climbing boots.

The Schengen rules say that the country that issued your visa must be either your only destination OR the country you enter first on a multi-country tour. So long as you arrive first in Austria, you are allowed to travel to or through any other Schengen country before you return to Egypt.

no, you may not, Switzerland is in the European Union, but not in the schengen zone yet, it should be finalized December 2007, therefore a schengen visa does not allow you to enter Switzerland,
go look at this map on the schengen zone and you will see that Switzerland is not within the schengen zone,

the main important question is "Do you have a Canadian passport.?" in case you entered the united kingdom below some style of visa exemption for commonwealth or (former) British territories (or a visa) ...you would be wanting a Canadian Passport to be lined below the "visa waiver application". in case you do no longer you would be constrained via the regulations with reference to the get entry to standards for the ecu for the passport you do have.they're going to no longer likely settle for everlasting residency or citizenship playing cards as workable holiday documents.the united kingdom does not have standardized Visas with something of the ecu and the united kingdom's exemption checklist is plenty larger than the ecu's (and) uk visas are basically known for airport transit-no longer land holiday. @Gerd-i'm no longer brushing aside the reality she's "Canadian"-besides the undeniable fact that she does not state for sure whether it is landed immigrant (PR) or grew to become into granted citizenship-or whether she grew to become into Canadian- born;it is form of perplexing as worded because of the fact it style of feels she has a "non-Canadian" passport. If she's twin they're going to choose her as a countrywide of "despite passport" she has.
