I have been dating my current girlfriend for a year and 10 months, today!! And to this day...my ex-girlfriend still calls me, begging me to take her back. i dated her for 9 months, that is all!! Me and her had a very sexual relationship, i might add.
I am an 18-yr. old, who is in love and she can't get it thru her head that i WILL NOT take her back, her sister and her family try and they cant get her to understand. i understand women can't drop their feelings at the snap of their fingers....but come on, almost 2 years? What should i do?

let her know that what you & her had is in the past. you have moved on with your life with another person. she should understand that. tell her to move on with her life also. she can find another person that better suits her. if she really mean what she said, which is that she still love you, then she should be happy that you found another love. yeah it hurts her but she should bring it to her head that you can't go back to what is already done.

You should be compasionate. She's obviously in love with you and you would be in the same kind of pain if you were in the same situation.

Make it clear that even though you understand her feelings, you are not interested. Then, make yourself inexcessable, as much as possible. She can't begin to greeve the loss until she's experienced it, and she can't begin to heal without that experience. Unless you hate her, you will give this gift to her.

I know it's good for your ego to keep things going, but it's killing her. Let her go!

Call your phone company (s) and tell them you keep getting harrasing calls and request your number be changed.
Don't reply to any mail, email or any attempts by her to contact you.
If she doen't stay away then file a restraining order.
If you talk to her friends or family, stay off the subject and tell them you will not discuss anything relating to your x.
Then they won't have any gossip to run back and tell her about he said-she said.
Let it go.

Stop taking her calls, and just ignore her completely. The less attention you give her, the less material she has to work with.
