I've already thrown up twice tonight. The first time I just basically threw up water and stomach acid. The second time it was dark yellow and I couldn't stop, so I started throwing up some blood, too. Should I go to the ER?

Of course you should. This is not in the least bit normal and you should get checked out immediately.

(((((Linda))))) hope you feel better soon, whatever you may choose.

It's never good to vomit up blood. Now that the shock of it has passed, what did it look like? Was it darker in color or bright red? Was it mucussy (like from nose drainage) or true stomach contents?

I once woke up gagging on what I thought was bloody vomit. I was scared out of my mind until I realized how much my sinuses were bothering me. The blood was from my nose.

So while what you're going through is scary and worrisome it may not be as bad as you think. Make an appointment with your Doctor (or go to a walk-in clinic if possible) and tell them your concerns. It probably is nothing more than an irritated throat.

Get better soon.

the blood could be from the aggravation you caused your esophagus with the irritation of heaving, it's traumatic to the system...causes small tears and such. why you threw up ... that's a different issue. if you overate - it will pass. if not...then you should see a Dr. or - questions...do you have a fever? could you have food poisoning? if you have headache and sinus pressure it could be a reaction to excessive drainage. I'm not a Dr. however...if your insurance will cover an ER visit and you feel the need...then by all means...go to the ER. good luck to you.

If you are throwing up blood go to the emergency room now. Throwing up blood is not a good sign of anything. It is nothing to fool around with and not something that can wait for tomorrow.

Yes, Get to a hospital fast! You could have some virale infection or possibly internal bleeding. When you throw up blood, it is really not a good sign. My suggestion would be to call an ambulance to get you, i know it's expensive but there is no price on your life! I hope you get well!

Only because you mentioned blood, I would suggest going to the hospital immediately. Maybe it's an ulcer? It could be a lot of things though. Best of luck to you!

Since you throw up blood, though you are cured you should go to hospital and inform this to the doctor in sequence.

im no doctor. first you should go to the doctor for consultation. blood means a lot.

the yellow thing you threw up i think were gastric juices.maybe you've eaten something that's hard to digest.

Are still there? Looks like you're not feeling good... You should go first to the hospital before asking questions here... Go now!
