Cleopatra has had a too thick neck. What do u think of Botticelli/s Venus?

Nobody criticizes Venus , not the Venus of Milo, or Botticelli for their size of neck "too thick?" by comparison to their anatomic harmony of body.
Why?
What do you think about it?

You just haven't read it yet. The art you mentioned has been criticized to death. The Ideal that is represented in that art isn't everybody's cup of tea.

Keep in mind that modern critiques are written about the art in that era. They hardly ever comment on the skill of the artist but rather on how people viewed it in that time and what happened to it and the artist.
