Yesterday I recieved a phone call from our neighbor saying they founf my dog and he had been shot. We rushed him to the vet but nothing could be done we had to put him to sleep. he was a small dog and he has been in my family since he was a puppy we had his mother when she had him he was 9 years old in human years and it has brought great devastation to my family. It just kills me to think that someone would shoot a dog for no reason.

As a dog lover I'd be pissed off and immediately find someone who did it. It kills me too.. but in a more violent way. I'm sorry for your loss and I hope karma gets right back at that son of a ******.

Cheers ):.

I once had a cat who was shot. She had wandered over to the adjacent property and the owners there had been illegally smuggling exotic birds. They were arrested eventually, but I guess they didn't want a cat around. She limped home half-dead about 5 days later. She survived but a botched job by the vet left her unable to use her paw again. She lived the next 10 years with the bullet in her body and she became a very unfriendly kitty after that. Unfortunately, we didn't get much sympathy because so many people hate cats :( Anyway, sorry to hear about your doggy. I hope your family is OK. People are horrible sometimes. It's quite unimaginable what some of them do.

i'm very sorry for your loss. we are living in a world of ignorance and perpetual laziness. while shooting a dog is often uneccessary, try to understand it sounds as if your dog was running loose and you have no idea what he was doing. people will shoot a dog that constantly gets into their trash, tries to attack their own pets or even children, etc...while a small dog often can be chased away you'll need to take some responsibility if he was out running loose. and even if he'd never been that type of dog at home you never know what a dog does while not being observed. again i'm not trying to downplay your sadness and more than likely it was some sick person who just shot your dog, but be aware in the future dogs on the loose get shot and hit by cars and worse. again i am very sorry for your loss and hopefully you can find the person that did this and find out why and hopefully they will be punished unless they have a very good provable reason as to why they'd shoot and kill a dog.

As a pet owner, I'm so sorry for the loss. In the Philippines, people who drink beer kills very Innocent dogs. Some people just don't know what it feels like to take care of dogs and nature. If I was president or ruler of the world, I would warn people to stop hunting and hurting innocent animals such as dogs.

That's why you keep your dog at your house. The point of having a pet is not to let it roam the streets. I myself would never shoot a dog of course, but I do get furious when my neighbor just lets his dog run around the neighborhood and crap in everyone's lawn. Sorry if I was blunt, this has just been an ongoing problem for me.

sad but true, we live in a bad, bad , bad world, but few good people can make it a better place to live in, so be the good and spread the good, then we can make it a better place.

Sorry for your dog, you cannot replace that loss, but you can try to overcome it by looking for another small puppy which is trouble.
