The correct type of air conditioner. A fireplace has direct particle output as well as all the gases. If it is a pellet stove or even an insert with catalyctic converter it is less harmful. The good air conditioner has fluids that are not harmful to the environment and if it is built properly, and used in a properly insulated building, it will be very efficient and use little energy.

It's a toss-up. The air conditioner uses a lot of energy. A fireplace produces fine particles which are expelled into the air. My own sense is that the fireplace is more eco-friendly generally speaking.

None of the above.

Use the solar air conditioner to cool your home.

Use the solar house heater to heat your home.

There might be better brands out there. Good luck.
