You should have instantaneously punched him in the mouth for saying such a thing. If he'd blocked it, then gave you a roundhouse kick to the head, I'd have had an inkling to ask for more ninja details with regard to his status. He's probably just a cage fighter, like Kip, in Napoleon Dynamite. I, however, am a real ninja. Honest! I have a black jumpsuit and throwing stars and the whole ninja nine yards. I drink too much, though, so my reflexes are reduced to those of a geriatric amateur boxer. Grab me another beer please, whilst I go karate chop a cinder block.

Not only was it ok to laugh, it was the only reasonable response to such an unreasonable claim. Next time you see him ask him to show you his ninja membership ID.

ok, first off, ninjutsu is a real martial art... it focuses on exploiting the weak points of the human body.... second, you did a good job on laughing at his face... i mean, a ninja? it would be more appropriate to say "i practice ninjutsu"... nevertheless i'd lol at his face...

Probably. A true ninja wouldn't have told you that he was one, kind of defeats the purpose of being stealthy if you're broadcasting it.
