Nip this habit in the bud.

Offer him one thing at a time. Tell him that he will get (Fill in the blank) once he finishes. Or do not even offer that. Just give him what you want him to eat and keep him at the table until he is done. When he refuse send him to time out at a place less fun and away from the family until he is ready to come back to the table and eat. Just be strong and ready to sit at the table for a long time until he is done or eaten what you think is good enough. You might have to adjust this amount as he gets more willing to eat. At first just a bit.

But also make sure that you do not give in to his requests for food later. Make sure he knows that this is the option and he will not get more.

It sounds harsh but really at his age on of the only things he really has control over is what he eats. He is trying to be independent and not do what you say. Part of what you will need to teach him with this is that you are the parent and he does need to listen to you.

Going to bed hungry one night will not hurt him. I am not saying do not feed him, but do not give in to his picky ways. Pick something he likes and you are ok with him eating. When he does eat his dinner praise him. He needs to know that he has done a good thing and not just done what you told him to do.

You can also try the "Your Choice" method. Offer him two things to pick from. He has to choose one for dinner but the choice is his. This might help him develop the feeling that he is still in control. (Like Chicken Nuggets or Peanut Butter sandwich - whatever he likes)

You will have a much better time at dinner if you can get him to open up to the options.
Good luck.

All two year olds are picky sad to say but what you can do is give him fruits and veggies, let him eat the stuff he likes along with those and at times offer a little reward for eating what you gave him. It may just work. Good luck.

A lot of diferent fruits and vegetables. Toddlers like to snack on the move. Healthy grains and a little meat. Leave the junk out of the house and he won't have it to whine for. He will also make healthier choices at an older age. Let him have a little junk once in a while just not all the time. Remember to teach him oral hygiene too. He isn't ever to young for it.

Don't worry about it. Serve what you want him to eat and if he is hungry he will. At 2 he isn't a baby anymore so should be able to eat what the family eats. Only fix him a different meal if you are having something too spicy. You can let him get away with 2-3 foods that he just can't stand like liver or spinach but if you give him something else make sure it is only scrambled eggs or something that isn't a treat. You are the boss of him.

All 2yo are picky eaters. The important thing is to introduce a variety of foods to your child even if he doesn't eat them if he keeps seeing them on his plate he will eventually get used to them and try them. You can give him the foods he does like also. As long as your child is not loosing weight or anemic then it shouldn't be a problem.

Simpy let him just drink milk. And some mashed potato, mashed boiled egg, scraped apples or other osterized fruits to drink.
But then, so as to make him eat hearlity, give him alphabet soup or animal shaped cookies. So that he'll be eating and at the same time learning his alphabets and animals.
