If you wish to refer to the Messiah as Yahushua then that's awesome. I am a Gentile who has been grafted into the kingdom of GOD through Yeshua. When I stand before GOD, I will not be explaining how I did anything to gain my entrance into his house. I will only have the cross and the blood of Christ. If that is not enough then anything I do or say will surely fall short. There is a statement in your question that really concerns me because I can not find any scripture that supports it. (Pastors and Priests should never claim that God will understand because they must research to help people gain salvation.) My salvation is found only in Jesus finished work on the cross.

You will not find 'Yahushua' in any of the most ancient texts in reference to the person we call "Jesus". The earliest texts have the Greek rendering, even though other names, such as Abraham, have the Hebrew rendering (phonetically). The conclusion is that the man Jesus, if he existed at all, was known in his own time as "Iesus", not Yahushua.

Yahushua is not Jesus but Joshua who supposedly lived about 1200 B.C. He was called upon by Moses to succeed him upon his death.
There is a lot of info about this under "Yahushua" in Wikipedia.

it's Yeshua. it means salvation. since noone can agree on the spelling or pronunciation though, i think it would be more important to simply teach the meaning and signifigance of His name. in hebrew culture, the idea was that a man was to 'become' what his name meant. Yeshua 'became' our salvation.

Well, on a technicality...Hebrew doesn't have vowels, so we english speaking really did have to make up a name for him.
The english language doesn't really make translating very easy.

does it really matter?
I mean, murderers are rapists, pedophiles and violent people etc etc, all these can go to heaven if they repent on their death bed.. So, in light of this 'amazing' forgiveness (of which i am sure other people wouldnt be so willing), why the hell wouldn't he forgive someone spelling his sons name?

Jeshua was his original old Aramaic name so that is what they would have called Him when he was on earth, I really love His name, it's beautiful sometimes I use it but I got habitualized to saying Jesus :)

Daniel 7:14
He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.

You are right,
but he was begging people to listen to him... so I feel that his teachings are more important than which name to use.
I think the biggest error was ignoring that Original Kingdom Gospel... and replacing it with the Pauline Gospel we hear these days. This resource explains the situation quite well.
