It's understandable that you might be hurt if they don't ask.. but considering you are in another country, they may be thinking that you are already putting enough money into getting there, and don't want to put financial strain on you. Also, think of the fact that because you are in another country, you aren't there to actually help them in planning and carrying out duties required of a groomsman prior to the wedding day. If you feel you MUST say something to your friends, you might approach it by saying, "Because you are such good friends and you mean so much to me, I really want to be able to help you out with the wedding. Even though I live far away, I still want to be a part of your special day. Is there anything I can do?" This lets them know that you are committed to their friendship and want to play an active role in the wedding, without saying, "Why haven't you asked me to be in the wedding!?" I wish you the best!

try not to be impatient with this one. If you are going to be groomsman, they would have told you already. But they've probably not decided all of that yet. You could just be putting more pressure on them by asking. Otherwise just ask it as a general question such as, "Have you figured out your line up?"

Don't ask, in any format. It's not for you to decide. Your friend will make that choice, and you must honor his choice. If you've been a good friend to him then you stand a good chance of being asked. But don't but him in an awkward position by throwing hints around to see what he'll say.

Ask him in a joking manner like "so, who's gonna be your best man?"
at least you'll know what's on his mind that way and the anxiety is over.
good luck!

um... you sound a little soft. This is usually how females act.
