Probably 99% know the meaning of it, at the same time 99% don't really understand it (even if they think they do).

I personnally do not know many ,but i do not live in America
In Holland which is half below sea level they take it very seriously.
but judging by the endless daily questions
that say global warming is a scam it is fake is it real etc,.here in this category alone .it must be millions of Americans.
but they will cry soon enough when the price of beer goes up because of global potable water shortage
Or food prices hit the roof because the third world countries gor dire problems with their agriculture .

There is no proof that warming is because of man. Warming comes in cycles, and we had warming before the industrial age. Back 50 years ago, they said we had global cooling and we were headed for an ice age.
Do research, don't listen to the rhetoric of Eco-extremists.

The Authors of the Book ' Black Gold Stranglehold ' . They claim that the Earth was actually far warmer in 1000 A.D. than it is now. Greenland was actually Green at that point in time, hence the Name. Do a Google Search on the Title, and you'll see even more ! I'm not saying I agree or disagree, I'm just answering the Question.

99% of the world population does not know the abc of GW.
people live in forests, villages, tundra, away from media, and so on. even people living in cities donot get enough time to think about the GW as they are busy with work for food! even the scientists who gave the concept of GW do they really know the meaning of it or just for the PHd they just coined a term not comprihandable to a lay man?
(a lay man is person not educated in science)

i think, ironically speaking, still 70% of the world's population still don't know the true meaning of global warming.
if the world already knows its true meaning, then why does it takes us too long to solve this problem?
too many people just ignores the matter and just do whatever they want to do in their environment just to be happy.
let's unify and make the world a better place to live in!!!
