Well there is this guy, and I like him a lot. We always have so much to talk about. We're the same age, but he's really mature but can be goofy too. The only thing is...as I spend more time with him I think he might be gay. I wouldn't have any problem if he was...it's just I don't want to spend my time trying to get his attention if he is. Is there anyway I could tell? The only reason is he hasn't shown attraction to any girl and he's never had a girlfriend [we are both 16] and doesn't act the way all the other guy's in our school do, he's completely comfortable around girls and he often comments on how much he likes peoples clothes, and cares a lot about his apperance. I'm not trying to stereotype here - I just want to know.

you are not stereotyping, any gay man will tell you they look at clothing the way a woman does. they think like a woman, something happens before birth that changes the brain to be more like a woman, which is why they like guys.

a guy only notices short skirts and low cut blouses. a gay man notices the clothes do not match.

if he can help you pick out an outfit, knows which shoes go with it, he is gay.
i would just ask if he is interested in you. i would also post in the gay section, they can help you better then us

No you weirdo. Did he say he was. Don't go around assuming things. Make a move on him. See what he does. Like hug him and look into his eyes. If he pushed away then hes gay or, get him to comment about another girl. Ask him, "you think shes hot". You can find out easily.

From what you say there's no way to be sure, and I wouldn't want to (if I were you) draw any conclusions. People are "individual". so are not going to all be the same. Just give the relationship (as friend, 1st preferably) time at this point, in my opinion, and see what happens.

I comment on ppls clothes, 98% of my friends are gals, coming fr all boys school I only have a gf at 18. but I'm not gay. For him.. there's a chance.. why not ask him.

Plenty of straight men care about their clothes and like to hang around girls... He could be gay but you wouldn't know unless you asked, and I would NOT suggest doing that. Tell him you like him.

i was in your situation about a year ago. i know this probably isn't the answer that you want to hear, but if he trusts you, if he's gay, he'll let you know in time. if you are already close and he hasn't told you? just start a conversation by saying something like "so are you interested in anyone? because you know whoever you like is cool with me." that's how i got my friend to come out to me. and i was the first person he told!

Well if he has more shoes than you than yes. Also, ask him if he likes anyone and if he does and its a guy than I'm guessin yes but if its a girl then your in good shape and go for him

I'm 17 and i have a friend similar to him. my friend is bi. if you're close to him just ask him straight forward but try to be nice. he wont get mad or offended as long as you're nice. but if he were to be gay, well its always good to have a gay friend.
