Doesn't matter if you born Christian, became atheist, and then a Jew...

If you were a convinced atheist at one point in your life and now you're a deeply religious person (of any faith), how did that happen?

Curious because there are so many religious then turned atheists. How about the other way around?

Any advice?

I did. I was an atheist for years.. I think seven years exactly. When I was 19 or 20 Jesus went out of his way to show me he's real. He went so far as to stop a church service in the middle of song to give me a prophetic message via a stranger. It's been one thing after another after that. I became what you might call a "Bible fundie". The Bible is the Word of God. When you meet Jesus he opens your eyes, you can never be the same.

Nowadays I subscribe to the theory that there are no atheists. Because even when I was one, there was that voice in the back of my head. The one I kept locked in a trunk and beat every time it crawled out. I think God hardwired that voice into every human being. Besides, if atheists existed there would be solid scientific evidence to prove it.

I was an atheist for a short time after I realized how ridiculous religion is, but it was uncomfortable. I prefer to believe in God while admitting that I have no idea what God is or what he wants , other than some vague ideas, so I turned into an agnostic theist. It makes perfect sense, to me anyway.

Of course it happens. Often times when life craps on a person they look for help in whatever form they can. The one great thing about religous groups is they are often willing to lend an ear and hand. The down side is they expect something for it.

I didn't, but my friend suddenly turned Christian and believes in God because "we're perfectly far away from the sun and have atmosphere".

I used to be a atheist until I had a experience with the Holy Ghost, it wasn't suppose to happen, it wasn't supposed to be real, but it happened and it was real.
