a year ago, i went to an interview for a position in a company, they offer me a part time job, but then i rejected it because i think is not worthed (5 day 9-12, where I have to take 2 hours each day for travel) , but I told them it's far away from me to travel from home to work, and I am afraid that I would not be on time. The manager understood my situation. But recently, I just saw another higher position (also part time), this job is for three days (full day). I want to apply for that. Please tell me what I should say if I am chosen for the interview (I don't think I will be chosen anyway) to justify that I am not suitable for the job which is in the same location as the last one.

Thanks

In this situation I wouldn't even mention the previous application unless it is brought to your attention by the person conducting the interview. In the event that it does come up during the course of conversation, I would suggest you simply state that the previous position and hours were simply not suitable. Positions are a two way street, they have to suit you too!
