Definately not.
You can really start at any age and as long as you work at it a little each day it comes pretty easily. Reading music is a big part of it but if you really want to be good you should also be able to play by ear (sound things out without looking at a sheet of music).

I have been plaing the piano since second grade and now I am a Jr. in highschool but I never enjoyed reading music, it always drove me crazy. I play by ear and can play songs once I hear them a couple of times. I don't think it is ever too late to start learning something unless you want to go to the olympics for it like skiing. If you were to start skiing now then that would take some time.

Good luck and have fun!

No, it's never too late.
Since you already know how to read music and play the flute, the only real trouble you might have is brushing up on reading bass clef notes and chords as quickly as you can read single notes in treble clef.
The piano itself is fairly straightforward, the keys simply repeat again and again in different octaves.
You can play well with practice. It's never too late to start an instrument as long as you have the willingness to put yourself into action.
Best of luck.

It's never too late to learn something new, and you already have a head start by knowing how to read music and play an instrument.

It isn't too late at all, especially as you already read music. At 19, you will have a longer attention span, and you obviously have the desire. While it's true that children learn more easily than adults, it's the desire that will get you through it. I wish I had stuck with it, but I was more interested in horses than music when I was a kid.

There is no such idea as "late" when you want to learn. You will learn so quickly because you already know how to read music much more you play flute. Congratulations.
