Go for early rock'n' roll. Chuck Berry's Johnny B Goode. Elvis' Hound Dog, Blue Suede Shoes. These are 12 bar blues in the key of A so only use A D and E. Twist and Shout, or Do You Love Me or Do You Wanna Dance also use the same chords, but not in 12 bar form. La Bamba is another one. Hope this helps

get a songbook with several tunes in it.Beatles and Eagles songs are plentiful and most are easy to play.hold the book in front of you,no one will mind.it's tough to memorize songs in such a short time, but if you know the melody and are good,as you say you are,you can play along fairly easily.if you don't like the artists i mentioned, find a songbook by someone you DO like, but check the pictures and names of the chords.if you don't recognize them,it could be rough sledding.good luck!
