Would like to keep the price below $200 per day. It's been a long year for our family. The kids need a get a way. We will have a vehicle but just don't know the area very well. Thanks so much.

We used to say in Residence Inns when I was a kid. They usually have a kitchen, a separate bedroom for the kids, and a sport court for the kids to play on at night.

Does your budget include park admission, which is roughly $50 or higher per person?

If you are a AAA member, you can get a guidebook of Southern California hotels, listing all hotels in the area with info about prices and amenities. Otherwise, you can do a google map search for hotels near Disneyland, and go to their websites or call them for information. You should consider hotels a mile or more away from the park, which usually have free shuttles so you don't have to pay for parking at Disneyland.

I don't know what prices are like now, but a few years ago, a basic room across the street from the park was around $70 a night. For $200 I think you should definitely be able to find something with a kitchen and room for 5.

Quite honestly, I'd really highly recommend the Disneyland Hotel. It doesn't have a kitchen, but the service is fantastic and you really get your money's worth. You get to the park when it opens seeing as the hotel is next to the park, and
their pool area is excellent for kids (I'm 13 and my sister is 11 and we loved the pool.)

Alot of it depends on your price range and children's age. Disneyland Hotel can be a bit expensive but it really does give you the 100 percent Disney experience.

If you're not into staying on the Disneyland Resort, I'd recomend checking out such hotels nearby like the Sheraton (a bit pricey and not really for kids, but good service.) or even the Candy Cane Inn which has had spectacular reviews and it's right near the Disneyland Resort.

One place I wouldn't recommend is the Paradise Pier Hotel. It's not exactly normal Disney themed as it's more like a tropical hotel. Disney's Grand California Hotel has got excellent reviews too, but for the price, I'd probably say go for the Disneyland Hotel over this one.

You could also search for hotels on google or google maps. Try expedia too. I hope you find the perfect hotel for your week of Disney Magic =]

Have lots of fun!

I have never stayed at these but after a quick search I found (depends on dates too) but for low season the Anabella hotel has a Casata suite for 167.00/nt
Cortena Inn 2 room suite 137/nt
Portofino kids suite for 118/nt
hope that helps :)
