i had a 99 toyota 4runner and it was awsome offraoding for just being stock, too bad i got in a wreck with a tractor trailor so now its gone. so i bought s 2001 nissan pathfinder since i could not afford another 4runner since there so high priced. for being stock. is it any good offroading? is there any lift kits for it. and can i stick the tire size of the 4runner to my pathfinder? 265 70r 16 or maybe alittle bigger without changing suspension?

Think of a Pathfinder as a sedan with 4 wheel drive it is not nearly as good as a Xterria for off roading because the pathfinder uses strut front suspension no real suspension lift available and has unitized body coil spring rear with out a frame so body lift is out of the question. With Good tires it can go off road but it is not as rugged as the 4-Runner. If you purchased a 2005 or newer Pathfinder it would have one of the best 4x4 systems and a Titan Frame under it. "A" frame front suspension leaf spring rear available for lifting. And body mounts just asking for a 4" lift then you can get a set of ECO TERRORIST tires and go rock crawling 4 liter 265 horsepower really helps.
