The question should sound more like "why is it that there are so many churches yet there is no god?"

Having hndreds of faith has resulted from varying interpretations of the gospel of God. But God knows that this will happen and as long as there is no unity of faith, he will send people to guide people back to this one true faith.
"11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, epastors and teachers;
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a cperfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: "

Paul, in the book of Ephesians says there is but 1 church. Therefore all the others are fake. There is one church just as there is one Lord, one faith, one baptism.
Eph 4:1 Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. 2 Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. 3 Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace. 4 For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future. 5 There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 and one God and Father, who is over all and in all and living through all.

How do you know there is one God? How do you know there is any God at all? Doesn't the fact that so many people believe in so many different Gods indicate that people create Gods? Of course it does. Use your head; there is no God. There is no soul and when you die it's over. RIP =]

ineeleng, There is but one Church, it is the body of Christ.
Yeshua is coming back for a Church without spot or blemish, that doesn't sound like a building to me.
We are instructed to preach the Gospel to all creatures, but not to neglect to meet together.
The Scripture has been taken out of context for a long time.
The Word of God also says were two or more are gathered in His name, Christ is with them.

Because many people have interpreted the Bible in many different ways, so they get followers and make their own branch off Christianity. But they basically all believe in God and Jesus.

People worship God in different ways. Some worship in man's way (man-made traditions) and others worship Him His way (Biblical).

there are approximately 10,000 religions in the world, and they all say that they are right. Flip a 10,000 sided dice and hope you get the right one. If you dont, you are going to Hell!
