If you read the following verses from our Holy Scripture, you will discover that you can not win the battle on your own:

Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is more deceitful than all else And is desperately sick; Who can understand it?

Ephesians 6:11-12 Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.

My advise is; first of all, get on your knees and pray. If you do not know what to pray for or how to pray, then start with confessing your sins, and ask for help to repent of your sins, and I am sure, when you get started, the Holy Spirit will guide you.
Second; seek an assembly of God's people, seek out a Church that teaches the Word of God, not the opinion of man. Again, if you are truthful and willing to obey, the Holy Spirit will also guide you here.
Third; read your Bible on a regular basis, God will guide you through His Scripture.

Disconnected, lost, hopeless........could it be, that God is talking to you....meekness......, are you in the middle of discovering you dependency of Christ?

John 6:37 All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out.

I pray for you in this very moment.

John 1:9 He tells us that God is connected to each one of us from the time we are born. If you feel disconnected it is you who doesn't realized this great truth. God to Him.

Yes! Not only be honest with yourself, but also with God. Repent and turn again to the lord asking him to restore you. Also if you need to get things clear with someone be honest with them too. God will work it out!

The real spiritual teachings - are about finding the answer within oneself. To go on an inward journey for the answers, etc.

What is known today - as 'The Lord's Prayer' is not the original, correct version.

Here it is, from 'The Talmud Jmmanuel'

My spirit, you exist in omnipotence.
May your name be holy.
May your kingdom incarnate within me.
May your power unfold itself within me, on Earth and in the heavens.
Give me this day, my daily bread that I may recognise my wrongdoings and the truth.
And lead me not into temptation and confusion, but deliver me from error.
For yours is the kingdom within me, and the power and the knowledge forever.
Amen.

I'm an Atheist, but if you were walking by, I'd offer you a huge plate of turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, and apple pie, and a great spot by the fireplace :)

Yep, at least you've identified your weaknesses. But where will you find strength in your situation right now? I know an answer. Try talking to God, I assure you, it won't be such a bad thing.

Come in out of the pain. Come to Jesus:

Jhn 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Yes, if you realize you're being dishonest to yourself.

Are you lying to yourself, letting slide your own promises or commitments to yourself? Rationalizing?

More details would help.
