I see a lot of questions saying "Cant we all just get along" and it hit me last night "Why do we all have to get along?"

To me this is just silly stuff (even when I get insulted I usually laugh) but do some people take this so seriously that they go to bed crying at night?

I did yesterday at this question, let me find it. It was really horrible. Legitimate, but it really struck a nerve with me on a deep level....I guess because it brought up some bad memories, and made a mockery of the only thing keeping me sane at a very difficult time, and she just laughed at me. I was offended. But it's the only time it's ever happened.

I don't get insulted by what anyone saids. The only thing that pisses me off is when I get violation for question that do no harm to anyone. And I only get mad because I don't want to be suspended.

I cried twice. Can't recall what exactly, but it had to do with someone's really sad story. Not anything to do with insults or mocking or anger. I think it had mostly to do with how I answered their problems more than anything. Kind of like: as I type this, tears are rolling down my face. All our thoughts and prayers are with you.

See, I'm crying now. Thanks alot.

Ive felt physically ill a time or two; no tears though. You probably will find people who are religious feeling more sad about the way things pan out on here, than those who come on here to "shed tears of laughter" as so many regs have already answered.

I don't. Life is too short (and arguably finite, there may NOT be any second chance!) to waste on getting upset over arguments cast among (mostly) strangers with a variety of backgrounds, opinions, and heartfelt beliefs.

Yes, I cried because of what happened here, at YA (not only R&S). More than twice. Nothing to do with being insulted by anyone's answer.

Have I ever wet the bed on what was said here? Yes.
Oh, sorry--misread your question. No, I try not to take it that personally. I used to get offended when someone said something against my beliefs, but I think I'm growing a thicker skin. (Call me Rhino.)

No I haven't, yet it is sad that we can't get along and must insult people because we don't share the same ideas, I mean if people believe in God, that means they believe he gave us free will, which means we are allowed to have different ideas right?

We should be able to say what we want, and not have to worry about others crying,I don't think anyone should take so seriously!
