I have to get like 4 shots tomorrow! the HPV shot, manigacacul, the flu shot (which im not worried about), and the tetanus shot. I HATE SHOTS, and im a complete wuss. i dont handle pain well at all . . . Whats the best advice you can give to me, and honestly tell me what they feel like (if you know). How can i prepare for them to make them not hurt as much.

I give a lot of shots, and the key to getting a shot is a relaxed muscle. That is the biggest thing. Now the medications may burn and there is not a lot you can do to keep the medication from burning. The 2 that are going to burn some will be the HPV and the Tetanus. I have had some people try coughing just as the shot is put in and the prick seems less as well. Keep your arms moving a whole lot after the shot and they will not be as sore.
Good luck. don't think about it that will freak you out as well.

the hpv shots and the tetanus and the flu shot dont hurt, they just feel like a pinch. manigacacul is a little bit more painful and makes ur arm sore, but u will live. tell the nurse to not tell u which shot is which and close ur eyes before she gives u the first one, and keep em closed until she says shes done. have ur mom make small talk with u and if u really get into the conversation, u may not even realise that ur getting the shot. dont, worry, youll be fine. :)

You need to totally relax when the injections are being given. Don't hold your breath! HPV doesn't hurt that bad, it's more like a pinch, but the next day your arm will be a little sore.
The tetanus shot will make your arm sore for about 2-3 days. I've had all of them, and give them all on a daily basis!!!!

Ask them to numb the skin using anesthetic cream. You apply it for about 30 mins, it numbs the area and then they give you the injection. Good Luck.
