For one, atheist do belive they have souls, and when something hurts inside, its not your soul, its your emotions...

If the something inside that hurts is your soul, where is it. If it actually hurts then it exists and will show up on an MRI. Why hasn't anyone seen one yet.

There is no such thing as a soul.
Show me one.
Have surgery and get the doc to pull yours out so we can see it.
The soul is an invention created to comfort ancient man and explain how a person travels to paradise - invisibly, of course! - from the dead body.

Yes,indeed,we feel inner pain,I wouldn't refer to that as a 'soul',the good thing,though is we get over it without an imaginary God,all by ourselves!

Nothing hurts inside when I am sad. And it didn't when I was Christian. That's such a childish notion.
