52.6 million to 1 according to: http://www.planecrashinfo.com/cause.htm
So that would be 1/52600000.
I sit in the FAA Command Center all day long and watch over 4500 aircraft in the air at any given time move around without incident. ATC people really are great.

There are thousands of flights everyday. How often do you hear of a plane crash? Seems to me that the odds are very low. The people with the answers above me aren't thinking very hard.

There are over 3000 flights per day in America alone. This is 3000 commercial scheduled flights not including private and non scheduled flights. How many commercial accidents are there per year? There is on the adverage of less than one per year. 3000* 365 days? this is 1,095,000 in a year. Flying is very very safe.
