I am asking for your opinions, and would prefer that people be tolerant of eachothers views. As we are all entitled to believe what we choose.
Please list helpful suggestions to how we can be more accepting, as it will be more helpful to me.

I think the best way is to learn to really listen to other people. Instead of believing rumors about a particular religion, actually read its texts yourself and ask people who are in the religion to describe it to you. Ask them what they find valuable about it.
When they talk to you about it, don't just discount what they say or pigeonhole them into some idea you already have about them. Let go of your presuppositions and try to see understand things from their perspective as much as you're able to as a person of a different faith. You don't have to believe the religion to do this and find value in learning more about a different perspective.
If that is too difficult, then at the very least people should be kind to each other out of our shared bond of humanity.

Hello.Blessings and Peace.
1) People need to gain a better understanding of a different faith, firstly by reasoning with the adherents of such systems, and through the study and application of philosophy by enjoining in guidelines for common practise where all people have worth and one person has worth to another.
2) People need to engage in intellectual pursuits to become to astute and perceptive, to formulate stratagems for the benefit of the whole community, and to enrich peoples lifes,; through money contributions, care for relatives and special attension.
3) People also need to realise their own potential and goals and need to be aware of the potential and goals of other free spirited individuals, this way we all know, that since we are all the same and all have worth and no one is above or below another that we can all pursue are dreams and our dreams will help benefit others, and others will benefit ourselves.
4) We need to in a way, find common ground and not to shuff of reason as some sort of faith demonstration to a diety.Spirituality needs to become dominant over 'religion' (itself is a way of life or a code of conduct). Whereas spirituality offers us to develop by ourselfs and this is the most powerful method of how we can change ourselves, this is made even stronger and more potent with the right intent.
I have noticed of the teachings regarding 'disbelievers' and 'unbelievers' of any system outside another and personally these words along with damn, hel, condemnation etc should not be used. They willstrike fear and people will whitewash over them and then pretend under false pretences to claim adherence to a certain faith after learning that their faith will reward them with hellfire.
Kind Regards

by accepting the person for who they are, not what faith they are no more than you would choose a friend by the color of their skin, eyes, or hair. If you meet someone and you click, just accept them for the great being they are and do not try to change them. diversity makes the world and life more interesting

Love and respect.
I'd like to share part of Proverbs 15
31 He who listens to a life-giving rebuke
will be at home among the wise.
32 He who ignores discipline despises himself,
but whoever heeds correction gains understanding.
33 The fear of the LORD teaches a man wisdom, [c]
and humility comes before honor.
Peace to you.

did you see that south park episode about being tolerant of gays? (great show!!)
you only have to tolerate something, you don't need to change your view on something or accept something. just tolerate it. You tolerate a crying baby on a plane, even though it pisses you off

Tolerance does not mean acceptable.
If a so-called religion breeds evil, it is unacceptable.
If some ones views breed evil, it is unacceptable.

Easy. Stop trying to ram *your* beliefs down *my* throat.
(Not you per se, but generally speaking).
Oh, and bring back religion class in schools. (Teach, compare and contrast different world faiths and religions- they're not all so different as everyone makes them out to be).

respect for each other....
for me, if each one of us are well founded with our religion and spirituality, wherever we go, we will never be shaken...off course, we will constantly be searching for what is true but whenever we come in a situation, we just have to discern things and do something that would make us worthy of our spirituality. and its up to the others how they look at it, its their business.

To have Jesus in your heart makes all the difference in the world. If you are truly saved and try to live your life as Jesus wants you to live, then you are tolerant and love the people, just not the sin. You pray for them. Not berate them.
