I mean all christians give a similar response mostly but the outsiders(another good book) still think the read it right even though it is our book. Why? Like when it says that all of Jezebells children will be slain, it realy means all of her followers will go to hell.

It is not "your book." Anyone can buy it.

It's no different than any other book of mythology or fiction, and open to interpretation by anyone. christians have a flawed understanding of it, because they seek literal meanings from allegory and myth.

Try reading some other books, and you'll get a better perspective on the bible.

Most people do not want to admit when they are wrong. No one wants to be wrong.

However, reading the bible is not like reading a text book. It takes time and patience along with willingness to allow the Holy Spirit to explain things.

The Holy Bible covers Spiritual matters, so we must be open to what God is telling us.

It's easy to read the bible and misunderstand what the text is telling us.

So I suppose that when it says an eye for an eye it really means that we should bury play doh under the swing set. Just because you profess to be a christian does'nt actually give you any insight into what 'ol Matthew was thinking when he allegedly wrote the book of Matthew, or John, or any other of the so called inspired scribes who lay down on parchment their view of things 2000 years ago. Unless you have a way to wake them and ask them, it's anybody's guess (educated or otherwise) what they were actually talking about.

Oldest trick in the book. How did satan try to temp Christ in the wilderness?

Satan’s MO is twisting Scripture. He knows it better than most Christians know it.

Without the revelation and decernment of the Holy Spirit...scripture can easily be misinterpreted. Satan knows the scripture. This is evident in his temptation of Jesus. He tried to twist it with Jesus. It is not likely that he will change his methods with us. The bible states that satan has no new tricks...what he has done in the past, he continues to do today.

Some folks need to interpret the meaning of what they read, others are spoon fed the meaning, and fail to question it's veracity.

They have their own websites where they take the Bible verse by verse and create false teachings concerning them. Satan did this too when he took Jesus into the wilderness.

The non-believers try to show us how stupid we are to believe the things we believe. It's fun for them to think they have "out smarted" us. It also gives the other non-believers a chance to make snide and insulting comments. So it is a real "turn on" for them.
