My son was given +3.00 rx for contact lenses from the eye doctor. His rx is supposed to be -3.00. He's been wearing these lenses for 3 months. I just discovered he was given wrong rx. Will this permanently effect his eyesight??

No.
It won't have done his schooling any good for that period, as it would have made the chalkboard and other distant objects even more blurred than with his natural short-sight.
Wearing an Rx six dioptres off is far from ideal!

But since he still had the ability to see things clearly at a close (closer!) range, there is no chance of lazy eye developing as a result.

Return to contact lens vendor and get the right lens.
