God is a God of justice. Sin must be atoned for.
Jesus is the only way of salvation because He is the only One who can pay our sin penalty (Romans 6:23). God became man (John 1:1,14) – the only way an infinite debt could be paid. Jesus had to be God so that He could pay our debt. Jesus had to be man so He could die. Salvation is available only through faith in Jesus Christ! “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

A difficult question if I don't want to offend ANYONE.
A thoughtful, open-minded search into the history of Christianity reveals,(among many), this, the "borrowing" of symbols & rituals from Pagans; translations & interpretations by MEN, over time, that contradict. Projections of human concepts on a --fairly new, in history? god & savior?
Without prejudice, or disrespect, but only logic, it's no wonder that the question is asked, why did a loving god...
He didn't. A loving god would never have "created" the temptation for sin, (the infamous apple), to test loyality & worship, which are, again, concepts of humans. Would a god have such conceit? Jesus was NOT crucified to forgive us our sins. In fact, the crucification is yet another borrowing of the self sacrificing of a young man to "absolve" the sins of his people in the earliest tradition of the Quetzalcoatl. If this were a divine plan, why (as closely as I can recall) were the last words of Jesus, "Oh, Father, why hast thou forsaken me?'
If one believes in creationism, then mustn't one ask: Why did god create humans to be born in sin, & unless through their "repentance" through Jesus, be damned forever to the Lake of Fire, The Iron Rod, Eternal suffering & damnation?
Can this be a loving god?
It's extremely important to understand that all Christians do NOT believe these myths. Of course humans make mistakes! & we forgive (or not) ourselves & others. There is a very destructive contradiction in the concept of God. Can god be both loving & wrathful? Does god's ego need worship? Jesus was a mortal, not the "son" of god. & somehow, along the way, I've seen god vanish into the shadows as Jesus has become The Way.

Jesus' so-called sacrifice by crucifixion is the biggest fraud in all of history. The mantra says that he died on the cross to save us from our sin.

When Adam and Eve were booted out of the Garden for defying God, God cursed all of humanity with "Original Sin". Henceforth, all people are born sinful because God imputed sin upon us.

Then he comes to earth as a man, Jesus, and "dies" on the cross to save us from the sin he cursed us with to begin with.

It's pure nonsense.

People are human . . . they're only as bad as they choose to be. Many people live their lives without a major "sin" and they are by no means bad, evil or sinful.

Original Sin is the biggest lie in the Bible and is the foundation for other lies (like salvation through belief in Jesus). I'm no more responsible or accountable for Eve than I am for Hillary Clinton or for you.

The reason that we needed a Saviour is because of sin. The bible says that the wages of sin is death. God is completely just and could not overlook this. That would be like seeing a murderer of an innocent child walk away without justice. That would be wrong. Atonement for sin had to be made. Jesus, God in the flesh, chose to come and give His own life to atone for the sins of the world. He was only able to do this because He was sinless and therefore the perfect lamb. He chose to take our punishment upon Himself so that we could go free.

I don't know....but according to the Bible, Jesus was crucified by "people". The people who lived in the culture and time of his day, chose to kill him.

Today....in our society...if we had the opportunity to repeat the scenario, would we acknowledge or believe the miracles of the Christ, or would we admonish him and his actions and perhaps insist that he be medicated or institutionalized for his unorthodox lifestyle?

Perhaps there is nothing to forgive and no mistakes were made.

Jesus SACRIFICED Himself for eveyone's sins, so that we could be saved. We have to REPENT to be forgiven. There are those who never will repent(like satan, for example) Should God let murderers and rapists, and child molesters into heaven, if they are not sorry for what they did? They have to REPENT.

Jesus said "There is no greater love than this, that a man lay down his life for a friend." Jesus loves us. That's why He died. He sacrificed Himself for OUR SINS.

Soldiers die everyday. They die so the rest of us can have freedom. If they didn't, where would we be?? They SACRIFICE their own lives for others. Just like Jesus Sacrificed His life. Get it?

He does love everyone and wants all to come to Him, but sin requires atonement. God cannot look upon sin and He will not allow it in His domain.

Under Jewish law, a blood sacrifice was required to atone for sin. Can you imagine (if you were a believer, that is) having to offer a perfect animal sacrifice every time you transgressed? Nothing man does can be enough. God sent Jesus, His only son, to be that final and perfect sacrifice, one sacrifice to cover all who would come to him.

If god is all powerful why cant he just forgive rather then to send his son.
who was accually himself.
who had to die.

this seems rather wierd story huh.
why did jesus have to die for christianity to be started anyhow???
Why couldnt he have started a revolution rather then be condemmed. the romans didnt accept the religion for 300 years after he died. why take so long if theyre the right religion. god should have just make them accept it.

The mythology of Jesus is absurd. He was betrayed by the mob and killed by the Romans. I don't think he'd make that mistake again. He'd fight back, against the mob and the state. If Jesus were alive today, he'd be on death row.

Jesus laid down his human life freely out of LOVE for humanity. Jesus assumed a human nature, in order to make men partakers of the divine nature. The Son of God humbled himself in order to raise man up. Jesus submitted himself to the law of God the Father in order to free those subject to it by changing their hearts. Jesus is glorified on the cross, because he is sacrificing his life for us. Jesus does on the cross, what the HOly Trinity does in eternity and infinitely, give their life and love to eachother. God bless.
