I am a schizophrenic although that word means nothing scientifically. There are a number of disorders under the general term schizophrenia. The cause of the disorder is not known and because it is not a simple single disease and for other reasons I seriously doubt there is any definitive evidence it is genetic. In my experience schizophrenia paranoia (DDD) is something THAT HAPPENS TO ONE NOT SOMETHING FROM WITHIN ONE.

Good luck in your research, good mental health, peace and Love!

I believe you have to have a tendency towards schizophrenia in your family history (DNA) and then a major stressor hits, or maybe just puberty occurs and it can be triggered. Scary disease, but highly treatable now with the medications out there. I do this for a living, psychologist. Hope that helps!
