You clean up mom and all her bedding. Then you call your vet and ask for help. Fleas on newborn pup can be fatal to them. They have such little amounts of blood and the fleas can make them anemic very quickly and they will die!
Mom need to get to the vets too to see what they can do for her for now just clean up her and her area and start to pick the fleas off all the pups!
I'm not sure if mom can be give a Capstar tablet because she is nursing that is something you will have to ask your vet.
I would call first thing in the morning and not dealy on this at all.

Then they're old enough for the spray version of Frontline, believe it or not. Get some from your vet.

This is the advice everyone on here is going to give you: bath the pups, pick the fleas off, comb them, dip them in lukewarm water, use Dawn dish soap. All the usual stuff. Don't even bother - you'll be at it for days trying to get the fleas off any the pups will only get reinfested. Just get some Frontline spray and get it over with in one - the pups will then be protected against fleas for at least a month.

You do need to treat the mother dog too - Frontline - and probably also need to treat the house.

I gently bathed them in warm tepid water with a very small amount of dish soap (but you can use anything that has suds to it), I added Cedarwood essential oil to the pup straight on the areas that I could see fleas as it kills the fleas instantly - if you have coconut oil or even vaseline, lightly smear the eyes, outside of the ears and the sides of the nose and lips so the fleas don't get in there because that is where they will go. Keep a dry hand-cloth on hand to dot their faces if and when you need to keep the water from going in their eyes. Its important to stay calm and yet assertive. You must calm your self and stay steady with your hands too because fleas move fast and it is hard to remain effective when you get emotional and pressed for time to get them as they try to escape the suds and oils. The puppys usually are relaxed and calmed by the water but they also may be one of those types that squirm and don't want to be handled so you have to try to Zen out and just get the job done as carefully as you can. It's also advisable to seperate the mother or father too in a calm area where they are comfortable during the process so your not dealing with the feeling of them freaking out if you get a puppy that is very vocal. You simply must treat the gal who is bringing them in (mama) as well as the bedding and the yard if you can. It's so awesome if you can work with your vet during a time like this but if finances are an issue (which it seems like it is) just keep doing what your doing...ask around and research what others have been doing and how you can do what they have done to move you to the next stage. Peace and Love, L

Fleas on the pups can kill them since they are newborn. Fleas can also carry disesases and the puppies immune system isn't a bit built up to fight what may come their way...you should talk to a vet.

First bathe the mother (same as with the pups) then put her in a fresh area with clean blankets (maybe get a wading pool or something where you can fold up blankets and put the mom in the freshly cleaned area. You can also get microwaveable heating discs at pet stores, which you can put under the blankets to make their bedding warm. Keep them all out of a draft. Blow dry the mom on low heat. Then start on the pups:

Bathe them carefully in Johnson's Baby Shampoo, first in facial area and butt area then rest of body. *This is quick to do, but the reason for starting in these areas is to prevent fleas from running in the mouth, nose and butt of the pup to escape the shampooing.* Avoid getting soap and water up the nose or in the mouth. Rinse carefully and pick off any remaining fleas which should be stunned. Gently towel dry the pups and then dry with a hair dryer on low taking care not to get it too hot on their skin. Run this by your Vet before you try it.

clean up mom at a vet. she's an adult so she can handle a medicated bath or even a pill to kill anything on her. then be sure to wash all the bedding they use. for the pups, just a flea comb. it won't be toxic or painful to them. just be sure to grab the fleas when they pop off and throw them in a jar of alcohol to kill them. so long as you run through their fur once or twice a day with the comb, you should be flea free in no time.

Treat the mother...and youll need a flea comb and a bowl of warm water and dish soap. Just comb the fleas out and wash the comb out in the water....thats the only thing you can really do right now cause they will get too cold if you wash them.

flea comb and stick any fleas you find to sticky tape...

fleas can give dogs worms (particularly tape worms) so its likely mom and pups are infected with not only fleas but worms too.

Its too bad you didnt deal with the fleas on mom before she had the pups...

wash ALL bedding daily and vaccuum 2x a day.. (keep mom in as much as you can or she will pick up more fleas from outside - check her regularly)

never use flea collars..

The way I did mine was with either cooking oil or baby oil put it on them and rub it in (the baby oil smells way better : ) ) It will smother the fleas and they should come out with a flea comb ( the gel baby oil will probably work easier) hope it helps
