has anyone tryed hartz worm be go because we gave it to our cat and don;t know if its good stuff how long does it take before worm medicine works

So you gave it to your cat and THEN you wonder if it's "good stuff"? Hartz products are mostly ineffective and can be VERY deadly to animals. At least once a year another one of their products in recalled. How do you even know if the worms your cat has are the type this medicine supposedly kills? Get this poor cat to a vet IMMEDIATELY (though I know you won't or you would have in the first place). Take some responsiblity for your pet and DON'T SELF MEDICATE!

nothing that you can get over the counter really works- not worm medication , flea meds, etc. You need a prescription strength drug for all these problems that only your vet can prescribe. A prescription worm med will take care of the problem in a day or two. Then, how about keeping your kitty indoors so it doesn't get any more infestations?! They really can be happy inside and live longer and are much healthier overall than outside cats.

Hartz doesn't produce a product called 'worm be gone' but their Rid Worm paste contains piperazine - which isn't especially effective.

You will need a prescription medication from your vet to get rid of the worms. Anything over the counter is a waste of money and could hurt the cat.

What kind of worms does your cat have? For most worms, your vet can give you Droncit to take care of them.
