Contrary to the "Ewwws" you are receiving, it is not uncommon at all for 3rd cousins to date or marry even if you are not direct blood related. I wouldn't worry about it.

11 states in the USA now allow even 1st cousins to marry so you are fine for sure

go out date and have fun and no worrying!

Most people would be hard put to identify their third cousins, so what use would a law against dating them be? There are places, a lot of them, where it is perfectly legal to marry your first cousin as it does not tend to be a problem with children unless..in an area with a small population for instance, cousins keep on marrying cousins through several generations as for instance, the French and Spanish royal families did until things got embarrassing.....and the Queen of England is married to her cousin right now.

if it's accepted where you live- and you're not blood related it's absolutely fine.

personally, I find it kinda creepy.

even if it's legal i wouldnt tell anyone your distant cousins, most people are repulsed by it and think of trailers, toothless chicks, and babies that are their own uncle!

Egh. No.

Sure, it's accepted -- do you live in Arkansas?

I wouldn't. That's gross.
