I am 13 and I heard that in a SDSU study, the best exercise to get abs is the bicycle crunch, and I was wondering how many a day I would have to do? Please no negative answers.

I graduated from SDSU and haven't seen that study, there is no logic behind it. bicycle crunches really only stimulate the rectus abdominis isometrically. the hip flexors are performing the majority of the work, the rectus abdominis is neither being lengthened or shortened so it's receiving minimal stimulation

technically but you don't even need to perform any abdominal training to have a 6-pack you only need to have low body fat.

To be honest with you it takes less time for a guy to develop abs then a girl but i;m a female age 16 and 5 days a week I work out and I do 6-10 sets of 25 crunches..... I would start with 3 sets of 25 then go to 6 then move up, it's taken me 2 months to obtain a 4 pack and so to get your whole 6 pack it will take about 6months buit if you keep working at it you will get them... Keep crunching
