The less calories you eat, the less you gain. But don't starve yourself, because then you crave food, and you eat the first thing that you find. Run, rollerblade, and walk off extra calories. Also, "low-fat" foods really aren't "low-fat". They just have less fat calories which you need for energy. Remember, calories make you fat, not the fat. Sort of confusing. Runing and roller blading burn ALOT of calories. Good luck!

I believe trying to lose weight rapidly will put your body into a "starvation mode," after which you will end up gaining weight at a rate faster than you were in the first place.

This may be fine if you are just trying to lose weight for a few days or a week but if you are at all concerned with the long term then you're on the wrong track.

There is no best way, all you will really lose is water and it is dangerous to take anything to make you lose body waste or fluids, essential nutrients and minerals will be removed from your system. Each pound you weigh is equal to 3500 calories and unless you lift weights or mountain climb or such high caloric exercise for a few hours or more, you will not lose much more than the body fluids. Don't risk your health, accept yourself the way you are. If you are bloated you can get a product to deal with this over the counter.

You're not going to lose weight in a day, no matter what you do. Diet pills cause side effects and can make you dehydrated b/c you're loosing water weight not fat. Not eating is obviously stupid, and so is throwing up after you eat. The cons greatly outweigh the pros. The best method to lose weight is diet and exercise. Drink more water, take a long walk in the morning, and eat less calories.

You won't be able to lose much in just one day, but you should just stick with complex carbohydrates, fruits, vegetables and lean meats and only drink water, milk, vegetable juices, and 100 percent fruit juices. You should do a lot of aerobic stuff, like running and that kind of exercise.

you can drink diuretic drinks to remove your body water, but seriously speaking, there isnt much you can loose in one day! Even if you go hungry for the the whole day, or even if you exercise a lot in a day.

Just because you dont gain weight overnight, you cant loose it overnight as well.

Pls. dont go to the extremes at the expense of your health or side-effects by taking pills or laxatives.
Good thing is -- YOU ARE THINKING OF KEEPING YOURSELF HEALTHY. Rather than going for shortcuts, decide for yourself to go on regular exercises and eating food in small proportions and drinking lots of water and getting enough sleep.

I wouldn't even go by losing kilograms/pounds.

boxers can lose up to 5kg in a night from hardcore exercising for a weigh in but they don't look any different. they are only losing water weight.

You should go by measurements.
