As a libertarian, I've been saying that for over 20 years.

When they came for my neighbor, I did nothing.
When they came for my friends, I did nothing.
When they came for me, .....
Ther was nobody left to help me.

The right to bear arms is there to protect ourselves from our own government, not so we can hunt.

This is sad. The police have moved to more of a militaristic type of style as a progression of several incidents. Including but not limited to. The Charles Witman Sniper shooting in 1966. Birth of SWAT. And the North Hollywood shoot out where they were out gunned by two individuals with high powered weapons. Every time they have had to get better weapons it was due to a situation where they needed them but did not have them.

Not to mention that with the increase in weapons of this type there has also been an increase in less than lethal weapons that have gone along with this. Such as, rubber bullets, pepper spray, pepper balls. Bean Bag rounds. And the taser. So they are not trying to take over the world by force. They are trying to defend themselves and you. Why not just say thank you.

PS. We do have a court system in this country so that you may air your grievances in the eyes of the law. So do not fight, do not do anything but wait for your day in court.

No. The Police adopted military weapons AFTER the criminals obtained them. Gangsters adopted the Thompson .45 caliber sub-machine gun in the 1920's. The police adopted them after losing plenty of cops in gun battles with "Tommy gun" armed criminals.
Wearing helmets and other protective gear is only common sense. Would you want to go up against heavily armed criminals armed only with a .38 special, a polyester shirt and a badge? Don't think so.
The days of Constable Murphy and his night stick and whistle are over.

Not yet, no jack boots here. But who'll save your butt when the criminals come knocking ???? Hopefully your democrat neighbor with his gun... oh yeah that's right he took away every-ones right to self protection. And if he brings his gun to your house then everyone will know he didn't turn his in. Get a clue dude.

are you, by any chance, named after Kilgore Trout?

How about we try it without any police?

What do you think the consequences would be?

How long would you last?

Once again, you are trying to paint the whole organization one color because of the actions of a few who maybe deserve that.

Might just as well paint the ACLU as a commie organization because of the written goals and statements of its now dead founders. In fact, since they were the leaders, it would likely be more truthful than painting all the police as evil because of a few low level bad apples.

Lets see, haven't assisted in the rounding up any any jews, freemasons, or other enemies of Hitler.

So no.

Unless you mean enforcing the law, while also upholding the constitution is somehow akin to the policies of the 3rd Reich.

No, there have always been those in every society that will abuse their power. Have you ever had to arrest a know felon that could be armed and dangerous.
