this guy i known since 6th grade, has a very terrible personality, he punched teachers, carried guns, pulled knifes on people, all kinds of bad stuff. now we are a bit older 25 now, and he seems to have changed, he is very nice, polite, suave and friendly. well he got this girl, then broke up with her after getting drunk and treating her like crap. then he got fired from his job for degrading a manager (she had a scar on her neck from neck cancer surgery , and she said he looked mean, and he replied saying "we cant all have 2 smiles like you" then nick named her smiley. now he got a new job in sales by being really nice and friendly to one of the managers. my question is is he really trying to change, or just hiding his real self and playing people?. is he aware of what he is doing?

he is VERY AWARE of what he is doing. He fancies himself a Playah. STAY AWAY FROM HIM--he is nothing but bad news.
