God use Satan's influence to pass judgment.
The only time Satan assisted God was recorded in the book of Job.
God gave Satan specific parameters to work within. To prove or disprove Job's faith in God, Satan was allowed (key word here: ALLOWED) to hurl any conceivable trial upon Job to push him to the breaking point.
Read it out of the bible... its an interesting story and goes on to proves God's sovereignty

No man is tempted by God neither can God be tempted. Satan is the enemy of God...not His helper. God has not given us a spirit of fear yet that is what Satan uses to control people...Faith is the opposite of fear and perfect love casts out fear. God is that perfect Love and if He casts out the fear that Satan uses to munipulate...then wouldn't His Kingdom be divided. No devided Kingdom can stand. God is Love. Satan has come to kill, steal, and destroy. BUt satan is already judged and his time is growing shorter.

I think He (do you capatilize when talking about satan?) has to be b/c some of the things God does seem a little too mean. Like that one where He tells that guy that he has to kill his son or else he doesn't beleive in God and then the guy is tramatized b/c (duh) he loves his son AND God so then he finally decides to do it then God is all 'oh I was just testing you'. How mean is THAT? I think satan gets God to do sick things because God's ego is way outa wack so he has to prove to satan time and time again how devoute his followers are by putting them through tremendous stress then excpecting them to crawl back to him. Seems a little jerkish too me.
PS- read Stranger In A Strange Land, it has a totally different veiw of religion (Thou art God)

ok here we go... satan or "the devil" was one the the angels of the Lord before the earth was created. he has no physical relation to the Lord. One day he decided that he thought that he was better than God and wanted to take him over. Of course this was not goingt to happen so God cast him down to Hell and all the angels that were with him in heaven were with him in hell to but they were now demons. This is my understanding and if you have any other questions please ask!

Not any more. Satan used to be God's highest angel, Lucifer. However Lucifer led a third of the angels to rebel against God, and HE threw them all out of heaven, to earth and Lucifer became Satan..
They continue to stake their claims on people, denying them access to heaven, in vengeful acts, and try to form an army to once again fight God. (Have you heard of Armaggedon?)

Satan was one of God,s angel,s but he was not satisfied with serving GOD,He wanted to be GOD. That is why so many reject God today. They want to be their own GOD. But there will come a day when everyone will find out who GOD is.

noooooooooo what would make you think that? and god does exsist but that is besides the point.and satan does test people not so much because god says go ahead and do it but mostly to see how faithfull you really are to god
