Despite being a believer my answer is –Yes. But the Atheists set it free to go around and have a feel of the universe, whereas Theists lock it inside their physical body and the body is again confined to a place of worship.

We do not believe as you do. We do not believe in souls. Man made up that belief - if you choose to believe it then it is ok with me. But personally, I doubt that I have or have ever had one. Further, with all the confusion with soul and spirit and biblical understanding how would anyone be able to believe it?

Do you have an Ego? If so, you have a "soul", and they both were created by YOU.
Which means they are illusions, regardless of whether you are christian or atheist.
