The biggest lesson I learned from Job is that no matter the circumstances you need to keep your faith in God and trust Him. He will see you through and provide all you need in life.

That Satan pops up to see God for friendly chats from time to time?
"Sometimes God allows injustices to happen such as rape , or domestic violence in order to prepare you to help someone else "
Oh yes, Job's family were well-prepared to help other people after being wiped out. Their testimony of how they didn't allow misfortune to destroy them would have been most uplifting, except it did.
Except it was hardly misfortune, was it, since it was deliberately licensed?

Job was a special example of God allowing Satan to terrorize an individual, but he was not allowed to take his life. In the end, Job got more than what he lost. That scenario is not likely to happen again.
In general I think a better concept would be that you can turn bad experiences into something good by doing as you have related. I would not say that God allowed it in that the bible says that "Time and unforeseen circumstances befall us all, " In other words, being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

DING DING DING DING
Walked as an atheist for 30 yrs. Highly studied in science, math, space, NASA, UFOs and all of the normal stuff.
I thought my life sucked, was a very rough road and had many pit falls. Sure I had good times but seemed more bad and broke than anything.
But then I was touched and woken from the field. Today, I am a minister to be that bridge to help non believers or non educated on how the scriptures work. Since I walked their shoes for majority of my life, I can clearly relate between the two of believer and non and use items to help the other understand.
I see my "job" and I smile now on how perfect my entire life has been for this very exact time. What I thought was a rough road was actually me bouncing around learning each step of my current walk. My life makes sense finally.

Why would a god who can do anything need to make you get raped before you can help others?
Surely he could have "intelligently designed" you to do that in the first place.

Yes - Dinosaurs used to roam the Earth with men. There are some nice descriptions later in that book.

As the survivor of childhood sexual abuse I find your question and logic disgusting. My history was one deciding factor to disbelieve in your "loving" and "caring" god. Do I blame god? No, I just don't think he's there under any circumstance.

I learned that God has such small regard for the suffering of his creations that he will put them through unmitigated hell - over a bet with Satan.
Nice deity you have there.

"You may have been raped but God allowed it in order to prepare you to minister to rape victims."
God allows rape so that rape victims can hear about god.
That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.
