Does this question really matter it seems racily motivated / When you are on the front line color is subjective everyone becomes green - race does not matter here and is not supposed to in the military.

@Ramesses V ,, thanks for the info after reading all the stupid replies here I didnt think anyone would give a answer so thanks! the reason I looked this up is they said yesterday that Obama only had 15% of the military's approval on what he is doing so I wondered if it was just the blacks ! but with your figures of blacks only make up 13% of the US military this tells me that at least some of the black soldiers don't approve of him ether !

Quite a lot when I was in the service.
If you ever wonder if minorities could make it without the handouts and the set asides look at the military.
They do just fine. The military is color blind.

what difference does it make.the military has;nt got any kind of color barrier.an American is an American.we all came into this country from some place.but if you must ask such a question what about the whites and American Indians.lets get them all in on this if it;s that important to you.

This same "myth" existed during the Vietnam War.....sorry to disappoint the liberals.....minority percentages are consistent with those found in our civilian community.....We are NOT filling the ranks with minorities and the impoverished.
You TDers disagree......with me personally.....fine.......with the facts as I have stated them.....try this 75% of all deaths in Iraq are "white"..... minorities (blacks) 18%........ the percentage of "whites" in America is 69%.....the percentage of blacks in American society.....14%........
Base on this data......whites are pulling 2 % more than minorities..... dying in greater numbers.....another myth busted
