Peanut oil costs a little more than the regular vegetable oil but it has a higher smoke point than vegetable oil and you can strain it and reuse it so therefore you actually save money. I use Peanut oil to fry everything from deep fried turkeys to shrimp.

Canola oil has no flavor to it and it's cheap. Especially for seafood, since its flavor is delicate, I'd use canola oil.
