What a great question, or rather a resigned grumble!
I don't go along with the first answer - wish I could!
I love pork crackling, belly pork, lasagne, pizza, bacon etc etc but my wife makes me eat vegetables as well.
Seriously though, I think the problem is you can get away with eating what you like if your metabolism is right until you are about 40ish, but when your metabolism slows with age, that's when you put the weight on. I'm now 60, but can't resist the above treats; unfortunately my cholesterol is high at 7 to 8.

If you like chicken, try making a home made chicken curry. Don't fry the chicken though, simmer it gently in some water, and add the ingredients. That is healthy and enjoyable.
Surplus chicken stock is great to just drink and tastes great.

No food is bad for you if it is eaten along with a well balanced diet, it is only bad for you if that is the only type of food you eat. When you eat fatty food, if you eat a good selection of fruit and vegetables at other meals, then one can counteract the other.
